Horse Gram | Kolluparuppu Vadai

Horse Gram in diet is good for women. It is especially good for obesity. It reduces weight by its hot potency. Its an excellent source of iron and also very heat to body. It can be taken twice a week . We can do many recipes using Horse Gram like rasam, Chutney, sundals and also can be taken with salads .


For this vada you need

1 cup of Horse Gram / Kolluparupu
2 onions
3 - 4 red chillies
Salt to taste
Oil for deep frying
Preparation

Soak the Horse gram in enough water for about 5 - 6 hrs. 

Without adding any water grind them with red chillies. Make a coarse paste.(but not very smooth).

Chop onions finely .Mix them with this paste along with salt.

Heat oil in a thick bottomed pan. Press as vadas and deep fry them.

Drain on a kitchen towel and serve them with coconut chutney or tomato sauce.


Delicious Horse Gram Vadai is ready to be served.............
