Tomato Soup

TOMATO SOUP
Tomatoes are available all through the year . Tomatoes are rich in Vitamins A and C. They play an important role in the prevention of cancer, heart disease and many other common health problems. In addition tomatoes contain large amounts of vitamin A, Potassium and Iron.The red colouration in tomatoes is due to a important compound known as Lycopene which is a strong antioxidant, which plays a role in the prevention of lung cancer, breast cancer and prostate cancer. It also helps to inhibit the aging process.


For this Soup you need

4 Tomatoes
1 Onion
5-6 pieces of Garlic
1 tsp of Corn Flour
1 tsp Pepper
2 tsp Butter
2 tsp Tomato sauce
Pepper powder
Salt to taste.
Preparation

Chop the onions and tomatoes. 

In a pressure cooker, heat butter. Add garlic, pepper and fry it.

Now add the chopped onions and tomatoes to it . Saute them well. Add three cups of water to it.Allow it for 3 whistles.

When the pressure is down , grind it in the blender and filter it.

Add this  puree in a pan,add tomato sauce, corn flour mixed with  little water and boil it.

Add a pinch of pepper powder and salt.

We can also garnish it with bread roasted in ghee.

Tomato Soup is ready to be served....
