PESARATTU / MOONG DAL DOSA

Pesarattu / Moong Dal Dosa

I am preparing this dosa for the first time and it was a huge success as my daughter loved it.

Recipe Source : Shanthi - My sweet neighborhood

For this dosa you need

11/2 cups of  whole Moong dal
1 cup of raw rice.
1'' ginger piece
3 green chillies

For Garnishing

2 carrots
2 onions

Wash and grate the carrots.
Chop the onions
Preparation

Soak the whole Moong dal overnight or soak it for about 6-8 hrs.

Soak the raw rice for 4 hrs.

Drain the water and grind them coarsely along with green chillies, ginger and salt (similar to your dosa batter consistency )by adding little water

Heat a tawa/iron pan. Pour a ladle full of batter and spread it in round shape.

Garnish the Pesarattu with some grated carrots and chopped onions. Apply oil to it sides and
Cover it with a lid

After 2 mins flip on to the other side(until the bottom turns brown ) . Allow it to cook in low flame.

Tasty Pesarattu / Moong Dal Dosa is ready to be served........
