MASALA PASTA - Here comes a quick and easy spicy delight recipe in pasta. You will definitely enjoy the taste of sauce in every bite, giving you a feeling of comfort. I usually prepare pasta with the white sauce which has a mild and creamy taste but I do want to give it a try with masala's and it has become a huge hit with my kids'. They simply loved it and hence sharing it with you all.
Masala Pasta as the name says the pasta is cooked in a sauce made with onion and tomatoes along with spice powders. I made it with carrot and peas. You can also add vegetables like mushrooms, colored bell peppers, sweet corn kernels, broccoli.
So let's get started
First step: Boil pasta according to the instructions given in the package. Normally it takes 10 - 13 mins to get cooked. Now drain the excess water from the pasta using a colander and keep it aside.
Second step: Prepare the vegetables needed for the pasta. I have used carrots and peas. Chop the onions, tomatoes, and carrot.
Third step: In a pan, add butter and oil, add finely chopped garlic and green chili. Saute for a minute.
Fourth Step: Add the chopped onions and saute until they turn translucent. Now add the tomatoes along with the spice powder, salt and stir it well
Fifth Step: Add the carrot and peas. Mix it well, pour little water for the veggies to get cooked along with the masalas'.
Sixth Step: When the veggies are cooked well add the boiled pasta. Stir it gently.
