BEETROOT SOUP
Beetroots are availabe all through the year. These colourful root vegetables contain powerful nutrient compounds that help protect against heart disease, birth defects and certain cancers , especially colon cancer.
For this soup you need
1/2 Beet root (Based upon its size)
1 Big Sized Onion
2 Tomatoes
3 cups of boiled Thuvar Daal water
Salt to taste
2 spoons of Ghee
1 spoon of Pepper
2-3 pieces of Garlic
For Grinding you need
1 green chilly
Little bit of coriander and curry leaves
Small size Ginger
Preparation 1/2 Beet root (Based upon its size)

Salt to taste
2 spoons of Ghee
1 spoon of Pepper
2-3 pieces of Garlic
For Grinding you need
1 green chilly
Little bit of coriander and curry leaves
Small size Ginger
Peel the skin from the Beet root and chop it. In a pan pour some ghee, add pepper ,garlic and fry it. Add onions and tomatoes to it and saute them.
Now in the cooker add the beetroot, fried items, grinded items and the thuvar daal water (you can also add water instead of this) and leave it for 3 whistles.
Filter it and add salt .
Delicious soup is ready to taste...........
