Beans Poriyal.
A simple and tasty poriyal with beans and moongdal.
For this poriyal you need
25 - 30 nos. of beans
1 medium sized onion
3 tsp. of Moong Dal (soak in water for 30 mins.)
A sprig of curry leaves.
A pinch of asafoetida
1 tsp. of mustard and urad dal
2 red chillies
2 tsp. of grated coconut
Salt
Oil
Preparation
Wash and chop the beans and the onion.
Heat oil in a pan. Add mustard and urad dal. When they stop spluttering add the curry leaves and red chillies along with asafoetida.
Serve it with hot rice.....

Add the chopped onions and saute them well.
Now add the chopped beans and the soaked moong dal with half cup of water and salt . Close the pan and allow it to cook in low flame.(until the water gets drained and the beans turn soft)
Finally add coconut and mix well.
Beans poriyal is ready to serve.............
Serve it with hot rice.....
