PEAS MASALA GRAVY RECIPE| GREEN PEAS GRAVY RECIPE
Simple Peas Masala Gravy - As the name suggests this is a simple, spicy, and delicious gravy with green peas. The main ingredient used here is green peas which are cooked with a sauce made with onion and tomato along with our usual masala's. This is definitely a lip-smacking gravy that goes very well with roti's, naan, and also with flavored rice. Definitely, this is a great recipe to try with green peas. I have used frozen peas and have not used many spices if you want an extra punch, add and adjust the spices accordingly. It is very simple and easy to prepare so let's get started.
First step: In the pan, add sliced onion and saute for a minute. Add cashews along with garlic. Saute well until the onions turn translucent.
Second step: Add in the chopped tomatoes along with spice powders and salt. Add little water and allow the onions and tomatoes to get cooked well along with the spice powders. Cover and cook for a few minutes. Once done remove from heat and allow it to cool for grinding.
Third step: In a grinder, add the cooled mixture and grind it to a smooth paste.
Fourth Step: Pour the sauce back to the pan and bring it to boil, add the frozen peas. Mix it gently, check for salt and allow it to cook for about 5-10 mins on a medium flame.
Fifth Step: Finally garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve it hot.
